Northwest Arkansas Rape Crisis Rape is a four-letter word that many
people shy away from talking about. However, silence increases
violence. The fear and shame associated with talking about rape
and sexual assault are detrimental to all of us trying to make a
difference in our communities.Our Mission: Northwest Arkansas Rape Crisis, Inc. is a non-profit agency which focuses on the critical issues of sexual assault by assisting those affected; promoting community awareness and understanding; and serving as a catalyst for social change. Our ultimate goal is the elimination of sexual assault.  We offer many services
to the community, primarily in the areas of Victim Services and
Education/Prevention. All of our services are provided free of
charge, in English and Spanish. We serve the tri-county area of
Northwest Arkansas: Benton, Madison and Washington Counties. If

or call our office and we can refer you to services in your area.NWARC is dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault. Our staff and volunteers are non-judgmental, empathetic and encouraging. We accompany survivors to hospitals, police stations and courts, serving as advocates during the rape exam and legal proceedings. We also provide One-on-One Advocacy services, Support Groups, and advocacy for secondary survivors (people who are close to someone who has been sexually assaulted). Our Education/Prevention Department focuses on helping members of our community increase their awareness of the problem of s  exual assault, thereby hopefully
increasing their
security. Staff and volunteers
often speak to adolescents and high school students, which is a critical time for people
to acquire
information about healthy dating and the meaning of
consent. We
also speak to police officers, businesspeople, and hospital personnel. If you are interested in speaking out against sexual
